Siamese & Colorpoint Shorthair

My life with siamese

It seems as though I have always been in love with the siamese breed. In 1982, I finally owned my very first siamese. Shahamie, fantastic and unforgettable female filled my life for 14 wonderful years. When she left me, my life seemed empty. After 3 very sad months, I decided it was time for another of these great cats to enter my life, this second girl was a SPCA rescue. As soon as she came to live with me, my spirits lifted, I immediately new the siamese cats would always be a part of my life.

In 2001, I met Suntie, a chocolate lynx point colorpoint shorthair female. She had magnificent eyes and a ruler straight profile. I decided to bring her to a cat show near my home. She became a champion.  How wonderful, my cat that came from nowhere proved that she was not that bad at all. I then began the search for a nice male with which to breed her hoping that the kittens would be closer to the breed standard than their mother. During my search - I met Gigi, another wonderful cat ! Even though she was shown only when she was older ( I got her when she was over a year old) Gigi became the 2nd best siamese cat in Canada ( CCA 2002) This was more and more exciting ! Then Moussaillon joined the family, a very nice male arriving directly from Florida to breed Suntie and Gigi. From the union between Gigi and Mousaillon, Rosa Belle was born, a striking sealpoint female that became master grand champion and Canad's 7th best cat in 2004. From the union between Suntie and Moussaillon, another beautiful female was born, a seal lynxpoint colorpoint shorthair with irressistable blue eyes.  Mini-Fee became a CFA grand champion and a CCA supreme master grand champion  and also had the honor of being Canad's 4h best cat in 2005 in CCA.

With this success, Naobie cattery was created !

The Cattery:

NAOBIE is a young cattery that has had a great beginning. All aspects of breeding are carefully controled, health, temperament, socialisation and the environment of the kittens - everything is done to have great kittens.

The choice of breeding cats is very strict. All adults are vaccinated, tested for FIV and FELV and are registered with both the Canadian Cat Association (CCA) and the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA). The pedigrees of cats joining the cattery from other breeders are certified by the appropriate association. All precautions are taken to use breeding cats that are genetically sound. At Naobie, we do everything we can to give our kittens the best start in life we can.

Excessive inbreeding will lead to health problems in kittens. Buying a registered kitten is the best way to ensure that there has not been inbreeding as you can examine the pedigree of your new kitten.

Naobie cattery will never sacrifice health to for beauty as very few cats are destined for the show ring. People who buy our kittens or retired adults are looking for affectionnate, healthy cats which they will get from us.

Whether a show cat or a pet, all cats deserve a solid genetic background.
